Tech form Places to get Teched Eligible cars/Convertible Rules All cars must pass a tech inspection (see above). You need not drive a Porsche to enter this event. Convertible roof cars must have some rollover protection. Factory fitted rollover protection will be accepted, or else an aftermarket rollover bar, extending above the driver's helmeted head will be required. Open wheel cars are not accepted.
Parking restrictions and procedures There is not very much parking available at the Harris Hill Road track site. We have reserved parking for cars participating in the track event on asphalt or on gravel. All others, including volunteers and guests of participants will be parked on the grass. After you enter the gate and sign the liability waiver, you will drive up a slight hill and stop at a second checkpoint. Volunteers and guests will be directed to park on the grass, and registered event participants will be escorted to their assigned parking space. If you are a registered participant and are towing a trailer, you will be escorted to an unloading area, and told where to park your track car, and your trailer. Please park only in your assigned spot and within its boundaries. If you use more than this, or park elsewhere, then you will deprive others of their parking spot. This may cause the access ways to become blocked, and if that happens, the event will be suspended until the access ways are clear, so that our ambulance is able to exit. We would be reluctant to tow your car, but we are prepared to do so. Trailers If you tow a trailer to the track, either to carry your car, or spare tires, we ask that you let us know the size and type of the trailer (tire trailer or car trailer, open or enclosed). We also strongly encourage you to drop your trailer off on Friday afternoon, the day before the event. We will make space on the grass to park your trailer, but our trailer unloading area is very small, and may not accomodate more than one trailer at a time. Of course you are welcome to unload your trailer in the grass parking area.
Registration You thought that registration was all done on clubregistration.net? It turns out that was pre-registration. We still need to collect your tech form, and give you your windshield decals. That happens at Registration. You can do this at one of two places and times.
On site registration On-site check-in will be 8:00-8:30 the morning of the event, with the mandatory driver's meeting at 8:30. You will receive the schedule and your run group sticker during on-site check-in. We will need your tech inspection form at that time. Off Site At Berryhill Baja Grill restaurant the day before the event between 6:30-8:30p. Waivers You will be requird to sign a waiver of liability to enter the track. This applies to volunteers and guests also. You will be given a wristband which you must wear around your wrist during the event. Minors must be signed in by parents. you may alternatively sign the waiver at Registration the evening before, but must then show your wristband upon entry to the track. Line and signals Video
You are strongly encouraged to download this Video(wmv) and watch it prior to the event. It is about 12.5MB of wmv file. We will attempt a quicktime file later. The video is backed up by the description of the line that will be taught, and the description of the signal lights used at this track.

There are many gas stations in San Marcos. From the track the closest one is about 2.5 to 3 miles away. To get there: 1 turn left on Harris Hill Rd out of the track (a 40MPH speed limit is often enforced here) 2 After the 90 degree left turn, take a right onto Uhland Rd 3 After the low water crossing, turn left onto River Rd, and then immediately 4 Turn right onto Aquarena Springs Rd 5 Aquarena Springs intersects IH35 and its frontage road, and there is a gas station there. On larger sized roads, follow Harris Hill to the left out of the track, when it tees into TX21 turn right, and then when it tees into TX80 turn right. You will enter San Marcos, and there will be gas stations on both sides of the street, a Walmart, and an Autozone for your other car needs. Link to track website
Noise limitations and test The track does have a noise limit. It is stated as 95dB measured 30 feet behind the car HCR has no control over this limit. If you feel your car may be close to thi slimit, then we would advise you to have your car noise tested by the track management, either by appointment with the track before the event, or on the aftrenoon of Friday 30th January. On the day of the event, the track management may operate random noise tests and you may be unable tocontinue unless your car is made quieter.
