Good evening. Hope all is well with you. I Looks like we are on a downward trend with our positivity rate. Let’s keep up the good work and look forward to the day we can all get together in person. Wear those masks, social distance and stay safe.

Watched the F1 race this morning. Lewis won his 91st and now is tied with Michael Schumacher. Regardless of what you think of Hamilton, 91 wins in F1 is a heck of an accomplishment.

If you were able to attend our most recent DSS featuring T.J. Campbell from Tire Rack, I hope you were as impressed with his knowledge and presentation as I was. The feedback from those who attended was overwhelmingly positive. If you missed it and are interested in seeing it, HCR has obtained permission from Tire Rack to share the video with all PCA members. It can be viewed here on our website =>
If you know of anyone from another Region, Zone 5, or PCA National who would enjoy the video, Gordie Robbins, our DSS Coordinator can arrange to download if off his Google drive.

Our next DSS promises to be interesting as well. The featured speaker will be Michael Wulff, Senior Vice President of Cox Automotive/Kelly Blue Book (KBB). Gordie is working with him now to structure the DSS. This DSS will focus on KBB and how KBB impacts us as Porsche owners. We haven’t finalized the date yet but the DSS will be sometime in Mid- November before Thanksgiving. Stay tuned.

HCR member John Kish told me about Pistons on the Square in Georgetown. This is a gathering of antique, classic, muscle and late model cars and motorcycles on the Historic Georgetown Texas Square. This is a cars and coffee type event held the third Saturday of every month from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM. John said it was loads of fun, featuring many different types of cars and lots of people attending. There weren’t many Porsches, but we can try to fix that.

We want to urge you not to forget We Are Blood. The pandemic is still with us and they need blood and plasma. Especially if you became infected and recovered. If you’re looking for a way to make a difference during the pandemic, consider making an appointment at to donate blood. If you choose to donate, give them the group code of D103 or indicate that you are donating on behalf of “Hill Country Region Porsche Club of America.”

All of us have a common bond forged by our great group of members and our Porsches. I know many other Regions recognize that bond by flashing headlights when we pass one another on the road. Let’s try to make that SOP for HCR members. Flash those lights.

Thanks again to all of you that appreciate the weekly email. Our goal continues to be to keep our membership up to date on what is going on in HCR and PCA nationally. And not just from the perspective of the coronavirus. Please remember, your safety and security are our number one priority.

We urge you to follow Federal, State, County and Local guidelines for mitigating the spread of the virus. Stay safe out there. Talk to one another. We all need to stick together during these trying times.

Any questions or comments, please let me know.
