The weekend before Thanksgiving (November 21-22) Hill Country, Maverick and Lone Star Regions of the Porsche Club of America will sponsor what looks to be our final High Performance Driver Education Event at COTA and final PCA Club Race at COTA.
Our first PCA Club Race at COTA was held in May of 2013. Our first Austin Schnell Fest HPDE at COTA took place in May of 2017 and we’ve been running instructed HPDEs at COTA ever since. You can appreciate that we are a little bit wistful about The Last Rodeo at COTA.
This event will combine a “Carrera of the Americas” PCA Club Race featuring two race groups limited to 60 cars per group, and a Solo-only HPDE with no instructors that will also be limited to two groups of 60 cars each. There will not be novice or intermediate run groups in the HPDE. Registration for this HPDE will be different than previous events and final details concerning registration will be posted here by mid-September.
Registration cost for both the Club Race and the HPDE are identical – $1,295 and will include an event shirt. A limited number of additional event shirts will be available for pre-order during registration at $25 each. We will not have extra event shirts for sale during the weekend. A limited number of quarter garage spots will be available for rental at $325 each for the weekend. This will be a two day event, Saturday – Sunday November 21-22.
