Yesterday, on PCA’s 70th Anniversary, not surprisingly, HCR planned to celebrate the event in grand style. However, the journey to Flat Creek Winery in Marble Falls turned into quite an adventure for the 3 run groups leaving from The Oasis On Lake Travis, initially expecting a “short 37-mile” driving tour. But before reaching the Winery, all 3 run groups had to turn back because an accident was blocking the road. Refusing to accept defeat, our members quickly regrouped, mapped out the only, much longer alternative route to the Winery, and hit the road again. The best part? Hearing the roar of 50 Porsches arriving all at once at the Winery!
A huge thank you goes out to our members on the tour who helped to get everyone back on the road and safely to the celebration. Special appreciation goes to Social Chair Bill Foster, Social Media Coordinator Kim Foster, Driving Chair Ken Kalin, and Vice President Kent Ketterman for their calm leadership and for making this one of our most fantastic celebrations yet!
