As a part of a national program, facilitated by Chapters/Regions of the BMW Car Club of America and Canada, the Porsche Club of America, the Sports Car Club of America, and other auto enthusiast organizations, HCR hosts the Tire Rack Street Survival School (TRSS) 2-3 times a year, at the Public Safety Training Center located in Kyle, TX. Open to young, licensed drivers ages 16-21, the school teaches participants to drive better and more confidently, equipping them with the skills they’ll need to safely navigate unexpected emergencies on the road.

This day-long program provides practical, behind-the-wheel instruction and practice in car control, while using the car participants drive daily. The curriculum includes four exercises that teach the fundamentals of car control, including emergency lane change, slalom, emergency braking, and skid pad. The classroom session covers the basics of car dynamics, weight transfer, vision, and the importance of maintaining the car and how proper maintenance affects safety.  Register here at Motorsportreg.com

We will set up the course on Friday afternoon September 18 from 1pm – 4pm
The event itself will run from a 7am start to clean-up by 5pm on September 19.
