SEPTEMBER 18/19            TEEN STREET SURVIVAL SCHOOL

Public Safety Training Center Austin Community College’s Hays County Campus

4675 S. FM 1626, Kyle, TX 78640

Friday Sept 18 reserved for set-up of the course.  The actual event is on Sept 19.

Open to young drivers between the ages of 16-21, the school doesn’t teach students how to drive; rather, it teaches young, licensed drivers how to drive better and more confidently, providing them with the skills they’ll need to safely navigate unexpected emergency situations out on the road. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. They will understand why they should always wear their own seatbelts, and why they should insist that their passengers wear seatbelts, too.

Please contact Crystal Zarpas [email protected]  if you have any questions.   Event Info – see the HCR CALENDAR

Driving Together, Safely

Safety is the uncompromising priority of the Porsche Club of America. To ensure everyone has a fantastic and secure experience, all participants must adhere to our touring guidelines.

  • Mandatory Briefing: Every tour begins with a mandatory driver’s meeting. If you miss the meeting, you cannot drive in the convoy.

  • Lead and Sweep: Every group is guided by an experienced “Lead” car and followed by a “Sweep” car. No one gets left behind.

  • Line of Sight: Keep the Porsche behind you in your rearview mirror. If they slow down, you slow down. This prevents the group from separating at traffic lights or turns.

  • Respect the Public: We share these roads with cyclists, motorcycles, and local residents. We do not cross double-yellow lines, and we always practice courteous driving.
